History
Seva started functioning in 2008 in Saharanpur district (UP) to help the needy, poor, weaker, neglected, schedule castes, minorities and lowest of the lowest. It is constituted particularly to the serve and raise the standard of living of the weakest, poorest, discarded, economically and socially backward people of the society despite of the fact that Seva has its means limited.
The Committee members / volunteers of the Seva with their limited resources are working hard and putting their heads together to raise the social and economic to status of the backward, linguistic minorities,schedule castes and schedule tribes. In order to watch and understand minutely the problems of the under people living in scarcity, squalor and poverty, members of Seva are working for their upliftment and finding the solutions of their complicated problems.
Ardent and diligent youth is given proper place to serve such people. They watch and understand the intricate problems and try to remove them which are being faced by the people living below poverty line. The volunteers of Seva the people are working to improve the condition of people who are not sufficiently sound economically. The members of the body constantly remain in touch with such families which are leading their lives in scarcity in every walk of life. Problem stricken families are awakened by starting various programmes for eradication of dowry, unnecessary wastage of money on different events such as weddings and parties. They are taught to follow moral and ethical values and ideals of the greatmen. Seva provides services to the needy families so that they may be able to help themselves. The volunteers gather the problems of their area regularly and put them before their senior volunteers for the solution. The seniors raise those burning problems before the competent authorities. In this way, Seva extends help and co-operates with the families facing different social, political and financial problems.
The volunteers of Seva are conducting step wise and priority-based programmes in a group. We are organizing plans for child welfare, women empowerment, malnutrition, Education and health, labourer welfare,teaching means of earning livelihood, disaster management and rehabilitation, rivers cleanliness and pollution prevention.
Seva is increasing its membership day by day. The workers of the organization are demanding for its expansion so that its activities may be arranged in more organized way for the upliftment of the downtrodden people. Because it is a golden period for the completion of different goals but pecuniary shortage comes on the way of accomplishing goals and targets. Monthly meeting is conducted regularly and positive suggestions are given by the volunteers for the improvement in the working of the N.G.O. Some positive notes are taken for the advancement on the basis of work done by specialized volunteers working in field.

IMMEDIATE GOAL
All the volunteersofSeva are taking solid steps sincerely to raise the standard of living of people who lead their lives in scarcity and are standing on the last stair of the social and economic status. They are assisting the needy, helpless, crushed and weaker sections to raise them from the poverty line without any self-interest.
The people who are living in slum colonies, the depressed class, neglected, helpless, weak, exploited and minority classes are instigated and urged to live with honourby starting their own small-scale industries to be self-reliant financially. The poor and backwardfamilies are made aware for the sanitation of houses, unhealthy living conditions, education specially girls’ education, malnutrition, and contagious diseases so that the poor people may raise their standard of living, get rid of poverty, put an end to unhealthy and bad habits and addictions such as taking drugs, smoking and drinking etc.
The Chief object of Seva is to incite and provoke the poor and unemployed youth who possess unlimited ability and will power to earn with the co-relative programmes of self-employment so that social and economic development may occur rapidly which will help them in living their lives comfortably and honourably.The volunteers of Seva are determined to provide shield to the cottage industries so they can continue to provide jobs to the millions of countrymen.
The volunteers of Seva are trying their utmost to incite and impel labourers who are working for daily wages in unorganizedsector for the improvement of their miserable and economic conditions so that they earn more than their daily bread to lead their life joyfully and honourably.
Labourers are advised to pay special attention to their health and education. In order to improve financial condition of the depressed and weaker section, volunteers of Seva incite them to participate of programmes of public, interest sponsored by central and state government
A huge number of members of Seva to slum colonies to explain the benefits of pollutions prevention. Air pollution, Soil pollution, water pollution, and environment pollution are a major threat to the human Society.Deforestation, soil erosion, habitat destruction and dumping of refuse into rivers are responsible for the enormous damage to the environment. Many rivers of our country are badly polluted and are in need of cleaning with sincerity.The government and the people must launch a massive movement to clean the rivers to save the degradation of environment. The people who are settled at the banks of rivers must be made curious for cleaning the polluted rivers. The volunteers of Seva runs awareness programs for the people who live in the mountain foot of Shivalik range which is the point of origin of river Hindan which is a tributary river of Yamuna.Following programmes are run by Seva for the benefit of the society.
LONG TERM AIM
The long-term aim of Seva is for provide social justice by raising the voice of weaker, neglected backwards, schedule castes and tribes, and economically poor so that they may become self-reliant and develop their talents and abilities to lead their lives happily and honorably.
Seva is advancing its stepsand firmly in order to achieve its goal and is endeavoring its utmost to implement its programmes step by step to provide maximum protection and welfare to the weaker, poor, neglected and downtrodden section of the society.

“Socially Energetic Volunteers Association [Seva] is a registered body under Societies Registration Act 1860. It is working particularly for the interest and voluntary well-being of the weaker, backward and neglected sections of the society. It is a voluntary, non-profitable and non-governmental organization. It is making its best efforts to eradicate social evils, superstitions, blind faiths and social injustice prevalent among the people of the neglected and downtrodden groups of the society. It is struggling with tooth and nail at all levels to provide protection to the weaker and discarded sections of the society. It is determined to raise the standard of living of the people who are most needy and living below poverty line. The organization has made up mind that past traditions and customs that bind and constrain Indian society in shackles and divide people and suppress vast numbers and prevent the free development of the body and get rid of the traditions and superstitions. The unemployed youth are being encouraged to adjust themselveswith the various programmes which provide employment. The people who belong to backward, weaker, neglected and minority [schedule Caste] classes arebeing stirred to be self-reliant economically and are being inspired to be aware about education, hygiene, sanitation and social development.
Seva is leaving no stone unturned to maintain unity and integrity in the country in spite of the fact that a number of disruptive forces have been raising their heads to threaten the unity of the country. The organization is engagedin maintaining and creating of the feelings of unity, harmony, secularism and national integration putting to an endto communalism, caste and creed, regionalism, provincialism, separationism, social evils and linguistic barriers from all sections of the society. Consequently, the people of all communities, castes, and religions are working together on grass root level to create unity and integrity, righteousness, truthfulness and mutual co-operation. All the members of Seva are working as volunteers in the interest of the country to maintain social and communal harmony and public welfare.

MISSION
The chief mission of Seva is to become the voice of weak, depressed, backward, downtrodden and neglected group of people so they may be able to stand on their own feet and may help themselves. They may lead happy and prosperous life by using their capacities for their utmost development.
VISION
Vision of Seva is to provide complete social justice to the last man of the society, the fair and proper implementation of laws conforming to the natural law that all citizens, irrespective of ethnic origin, gender, possessions, race, religion etc. are to be treated equally and without prejudice and minimal level of well-being and social support for all citizens of the society.
